Our team

We are a strong team of 22, including 14 seasoned investors who play an active role in their portfolio companies.


VENTURE

Hervé Schricke, CEO


Hervé has a more than 30 years experience at several financial institutions. Up until late 1999, he was a Director and Managing Director of Financière Natexis, a leading European private equity firm.
An entrepreneur and Business Angel, Hervé played a key role in the creation of Meilleurtaux.com before focusing on the creation of XAnge Capital, a venture capital firm backed by La Poste.
                                                                                                                   
Previously he worked at Natexis Group/Crédit National, notably asManaging Director of CSIA Bank. Before that he was active as a corporate officer and in capital markets for leading international bank group.
                                                                                                                
Hervé studied law and has a Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures (master’s degree) in law and a degree in International Law.


François Cavalié, Managing Director


François has worked in private equity for more than 20 years. He began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen before becoming a Senior Banking Executive at Compagnie Financière de Suez (1983-1988). He then joined IRDI (Institut Régional de Développement Industriel for the Midi-Pyrénées region) from 1988 to 2003 where he was the regional delegate for the Aquitaine region beginning 1999. François was also Chairman of the Executive Board of SOCRI (Sud-Ouest Capital-Risque Innovation) from its launch in 1999 until 2003. He joined XAnge in 2003.

François is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques and ESSEC and has a Master’s degree in law. He also teaches a course in Innovation Finance and Management at the University of Toulouse.


Inès Sen, Member of the Executive Board, Partner


Inès is a financial analyst by training and an expert in the postal business. For twelve years she was involved in the strategic development of La Poste, XAnge Capital’s sponsor, in the strategic planning department as the Head of Strategy at the New Services Development Department. She has special expertise in the areas of secure connectivity and was the president of CertiNomis, the certification authority for La Poste Group. Previously, Inès worked as a financial analyst at Caisse Nationale du Crédit Agricole.
Inès joined XAnge Capital from start in 2003.

Inès is a graduate of Sciences Economiques and Sciences Politiques (Paris) as well as Ecole des Langues Orientales


Dominique Agrech, Member of the Executive Board, Partner


Dominique started his career as an engineer in the automobile industry. He has been practicing venture capital since 1986. In 1989 he joined Suez Group where he managed investments in high-tech and life sciences companies. 

A member of the founding venture capital team of ABN AMRO in France, he was the Deputy Manager of ABN AMRO Capital France in charge of the venture capital business from 1997 to 2004. He joined XAnge Private Equity in 2004 during its launch phase.

Dominique is a graduate of Ecole Polythechnique and ENSPM.


Cyril Bertrand, Member of the Executive Board, Partner (Munich - Paris)


Cyril started his career at Alcatel in 1994 as an architect of integrated circuits, then as a project manager in the Telspace department. He created and managed the Wireless IP product range and developped the first generation of Wifi access products for Alcatel.

Then he joined Telesoft Partners, a venture capital company in the Silicon Valley, of which he enhanced the investments in telecommunication convergence, mobility and wireless architecture. In 2002 Cyril became a partner in charge of telecommunications and semiconductors at DVC (Deutsche Venture Capital), a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, in Munich. He joined XAnge in 2007 to manage the IT portfolio of DVC.


Nicolas Rose, General Partner US


A U.S. national, Nicolas began his career in IT services. He then speciolized in financial transactions for high-tech firms, first at JP Morgan then as a financial analyst at investment bank Hambrecht & Quist where he contributed to IPOs for several European companies. In 1999 he joined ABN AMRO Capital France as an Investment Manager for the venture capital business, specializing in Software and Internet transactions. He joined XAnge in 2004 as a Partner specializing in IT and Internet deals.

Nicolas has a degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences from the University of Michigan (USA) ans an MBA from Ecole des Ponts et Chaussées (France).


Bernhard Schmid, General Manager Germany (Munich)


A German national, Bernhard began his career in 1994 in Munich, first as a senior investor, then as a partner at Atlas Venture, an american venture capital company specialized in TIC and life science. Then he worked as a partner at Innotech Partners, a venture capital company specialized in new technology and renewable energies. In 2004 Bernhard became a partner in charge of new technologies at DVC (Deutsche Venture Capital) a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank, in Munich.
He joined XAnge in 2007 to manage the IT portfolio of DVC with Cyril Bertrand.

Bernhard has a degree from the Munich University (MBA).


Rodolphe Menegaux, Investment Manager


Rodolphe joined XAnge in 2003. He contributed to investments and follow-up of technological companies. He took part in about twelve investments in data mining, corporate search, direct marketing, mobility and IT security.

Rodolphe has a Master’s degree of Finance & Economy from the Brandeis University (Boston, Massachusetts) and a Master’s degree of Management science of Université Paris IX Dauphine (paris, France).


Fanny Corpet, Investment Manager


After completing an internship at XAnge Private Equity, Fanny  worked for one year as an auditor at Deloitte. She joined XAnge Private Equity in 2006 as an assistant manager. Fanny has participated in the evaluation and section of several portfolio companies.

Fanny has a DESS Banking and Finance degree from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Management from Paris IX Dauphine University.




Eline Crémieux, Senior Analyst (Munich)


As a French national, Eline has build up her career in Germany. First, she was a Commercial attaché at the French Economic Mission in Munich. Between 2003 and 2005, she has worked as a Research Analyst at Mackewicz & Partner, a Consultancy for private equity. Since 2005, she was a Investment Adviser at Avida Advisers in Munich and was in charge of the selection of private equity funds as well as of investor relations. Eline works for the German office of XAnge and is responsible of the sourcing, the analysis and the pre-selection of the German deals.
 
Eline is a graduate of the Institut d’études politiques (Sciences Po) of Lyon and has a Master in Contemporary European Studies of the Loughborough University (UK) and a Master in European Law and Politics of the Institut d’études politiques (Sciences Po) of Strassburg.


EXPANSION CAPITAL (FRANCE)

Magdalena Svensson, Senior Investment Manager



A Swedish national, Magdalena contributed to th development and launch of online banking services of Swedbank, the leading Scandinavian bank. In 2000 she joined ABN AMRO Capital France and took part in the valuation and monitoring of numerous growth capital and venture capital investments.

Magdalena has a finance MBA from the University of Göteborg and a major Finance from ESSEC.


Nicolas Goiran, Senior Investment Manager



After a 3 year experience as a building project manager, Nicolas joined the investment team of MBO Partners in 2002 as an investment manager. Located in Lyon, he contributed to about ten LBO operations and external growths in the south esat of France.

Nicolas is a graduate of INSA Lyon, and has a degree of financial engineering from EM Lyon.


Etienne Arlet, Investment Manager


An account executive, Etienne joined XAnge Private Equity in 2004 and has participated in the selection and valuation of several companies.

Etienne has a DEA degree in Econometrics and Industrial Economics from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne University.
