Management team
The management team responsible for investments new technology and innovation is experienced, specialized and international.
It relies on a real understanding of the company’s markets and their potential, notably in the preferred business sectors of information technologies, mobile communications and connectivity in general, eco-technologies and electronics.
The management team also benefits from the industrial and technological expertise of XAnge’s partners, allowing it to offer real added-value in terms of business development.
The team consists of 6 senior partners – Hervé Schricke, François Cavalié, Dominique Agrech, Ines Sen, Nicolas Rose and Cyril Bertrand – and 8 staff in all.

Hervé Schricke, Chairman of the Executive Board
|  | Schricke has years of international experience at several financial institutions. Up until late 1999, he was a Director and Managing Director of Financière Natexis, a leading European private equity firm, with total portfolio assets of nearly €1.2 billion in all areas of private equity (venture capital, growth capital and buyouts). An entrepreneur and business angel, Schricke played a key role in the creation of Meilleurtaux.com as an investor and director, then Managing Director, before focusing on the creation of XAnge Capital, a venture capital firm backed by La Poste. Previously, he worked at Natexis Group / Crédit National, notably as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of CSIA Bank. Before that, he was active as a corporate officer and in capital markets for a leading international bank group.
Schricke studied law and has a Diplôme d’Etudes Supérieures (master’s degree) in law and a degree in International Law. |

François Cavalié, Member of the Executive Board, Managing Director |  | Cavalié has worked in private equity for 22 years. He began his career as an auditor at Arthur Andersen before becoming a Senior Banking Executive at Compagnie Financière de Suez (1983-1988). He then joined IRDI (Institut Régional de Développement Industriel for the Midi-Pyrénées region) from 1988-2003, where he was the regional delegate for the Aquitaine region beginning in 1999. Cavalié was also Chairman of the Executive Board of SOCRI (Sud-Ouest Capital Risque Innovation) from its launch in 1999 until 2003. Cavalié is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques and ESSEC and has a Master’s degree in law. He also teaches a course in Innovation Finance and Management at the University of Toulouse. |

Inès Sen, Member of the Executive Board |  | Sen is a financial analyst by training and an expert in the postal business. For the past dozen years, she has been involved in the strategic development of La Poste, the sponsor of XAnge Capital, in the strategic planning department as a the Head of Strategy at the New Services Development Department. She has special expertise in the areas of secure connectivity and was the president of CertiNomis, the certification authority for La Poste Group. Previously, Sen worked as a financial analyst at Caisse Nationale de Crédit Agricole. Sen is a graduate of Sciences Economiques and Sciences Politiques (Paris), as well as Ecole des Langues Orientales.

Dominique Agrech, Member of Executive Board |  | Agrech began his career as an engineer in the automobile industry. In 1986, be began working in venture capital, initially at Banque Française d’Investissement. In 1989, he joined Suez Group, where he managed investments in high-tech and life sciences companies. A member of the founding venture capital team of ABN AMRO in France, he was the Deputy Manager of ABN AMRO Capital France in charge of the venture capital business from 1997 to 2004, when he joined XAnge Private Equity during its launch phase. Agrech is a graduate of École Polytechnique and ENSPM.

Cyril Bertrand, Member of the Executive Board
|  | Cyril started his career at Alcatel in 1994, as an architect of integrated circuits, then as a project manager in the Telspace department. He created and managed the Wireless IP product range, and developped the first generation of Wifi access products for Alcatel. Then he joined Telesoft Partners, a venture capital company in the Silicon Valley, of which he enhanced the investments in telecommunication convergence, mobility and wireless architecture. In 2002, Cyril became a partner in charge of telecommunications and semiconductors at DVC (Deutsche venture Capital) in Munich, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bank.
Cyril is a graduate of ENST (Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications, Paris) and has a MBA from INSEAD.

Bernhard Schmid, Partner |  | Bernhard began his career in 1994 in Munich first as a senior investor, then as a partner at Atlas Venture, an american venture capital company specialized in TIC and life science. Then he worked as a partner at Innotech Partners, a venture capital company specialized in new technology and renewable energies. In 2004, Bernhard became a partner in charge of new technologies at DVC (Deutsche Venture Capital) in Munich, one of the biggest venture capital companies in Germany. There he worked in Cyril Bertrand’s team. A German in Munich, Bernhard Schmid joined the XAnge team in 2008, where he manages the operations in the german-speaking countries.
Bernhard has a degree from the Munich University (MBA).

Nicolas Rose, Partner |  | A U.S. national and partner in the firm, Rose began his career in IT services. He later specialized in financial transactions for high-tech firms, first at JP Morgan then as a financial analyst at the investment bank Hambrecht & Quist, where he participated in IPOs for several companies. In 1999, he joined ABN AMRO Capital France as an Associate Manager for the venture business.
Rose has a degree in Mathematics and Information Technology from the University of Michigan and an MBA from École des Ponts et Chaussées.

Rodolphe Menegaux, Senior Investment Manager
|  | Menegaux joined XAnge Capital in 2003 and has participated in the selection and valuation of several companies.
Menegaux has a Masters of Finance from Brandeis University (Massachusetts) and a Master’s in Management Science from Paris IX Dauphine University. |

Fanny Corpet, Investment Manager |  | After completing an internship at XAnge Private Equity, Corpet worked for one year as an auditor at Deloitte. She joined XAnge Private Equity in 2006 as an assistant manager. Corpet has participated in the valuation and section of several portfolio companies.
Corpet has a DESS Banking and Finance degree from Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Management from Paris IX Dauphine University. |
